About the Role

Ground workers serve a critical role in successfully executing a tree-care project. Ground workers are the eyes and ears of the crew while climbers and bucket operators are working high in the trees, by maintaining a safe and clean work space. Ground workers help in the cleanup of tree branches, logs, and debris, as well as helping with technical rigging operations during tree removals. A mostly physical, high paced position that will keep you on your toes; this position is fun, diverse, physical, and pivotal to the success of the crew.

Requirements

GROUNDSMAN:

  • Haul/chip branch debris and logs

  • Operate mini-skid machine for tree removals

  • Rake/Sweep/Blow branches and debris from tree work

  • Operate rigging systems from the ground during removal operations

  • Ground-prune trees when necessary
